MAYA...beautiful, abused girl
This angel was dumped into a lady's yard with a logging chain around her neck and parvo! We agreed to take her and had them carry her on to the vet where she was treated succesfully but refused to let anyone touch her without completely having a panic attack. She was brought to our rescue and spent months hiding wherever she could, never walking across an open space and refusing to let anyone touch or love on her...but we were patient and with lots of love, patience and soft words she has finally begun to trust and allow for us to care for her. Maya has a long way to go but is a beautiful, elegant lady that just needs lots more love, patience and eventually some refined training to be a perfect companion.
